Ensemble Chevremonts Men’s Choir 1912

The Chevremont Men’s Choir was founded in 1912 as a choir for the parish of Chevremont, a quarter in the city of Kerkrade. The complete choir has about sixty active singers. A number of them forms a separate ensemble. In May 2017, this ensemble took part in an international competition in the city of Limburg an der Lahn in Germany and won the bronze medal there. In October 2017 the ensemble qualified during a regional competition as ‘Quality Choir 2017/2018’.

Both the entire Chevremonts Men’s Choir and the ensemble are led by conductor Véron Jongstra. She studied at the conservatories of Maastricht and Rotterdam. She teaches at various music schools and is conductor of several choirs. As a pianist she also regularly accompanies choirs, orchestras and well-known solo singers.
